Abstract

In his thesis "Al-Nukat fi I'jaz al-Quran," Al-Ramani addresses one aspect of Quranic miracle, specifically its eloquence (i'jaz balaghi). He explores this facet through ten rhetorical devices, focusing on unveiling their miraculous secrets. Emphasizing technical aspects like balance to discern the distinction in speech, he seeks to prove this distinction through Quranic analysis and evidence. He elucidates the rhetorical secrets therein and draws comparisons between Quranic text and the Arabic literary discourse, highlighting their balance. These ten rhetorical devices can be categorized into figurative imagery, structural semantic imagery, and auditory imagery. He contends that the secrets of the Quranic miracle lie hidden within these aspects, with his scientific approach heavily relying on Quranic evidence.
