Scholars of the Quran and Arabic linguists have addressed the issues of pronoun back reference in the Quran, especially the absent pronoun 'هاء', providing Quranic evidence and insights from Arabic language. This study is based on tracking and examining the absent pronoun 'هاء' and its impact on directing the meanings of the Quran according to Imam al-Tabari in his exegesis 'Jami' al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Quran', focusing on the end of Surah Al-Baqarah. It includes presenting the opinions of scholars and then discussing them briefly, along with highlighting the researcher's viewpoint on each issue related to pronoun back reference.
