Correction notes are published if: the error significantly affects the integrity of the published scientific content, or if a minor portion of the article is found to be incorrect or misleading despite the overall reliability of the article, particularly if due to inadvertent errors.

Publication Format

      • A correction note is appended to the issue, with the article type specified as "correction," and the title clearly labeled as "correction."

      • It is freely accessible to all readers.

      • The correction note provides a clear description of the error and transparently details the changes made.

      • The online version of the article is corrected, with a link to the correction note in the PDF version.

      • The correction note and the corrected article are interlinked for easy reference.

It is important to note that correction notes are typically reserved for alterations that significantly impact the integrity of the scientific content, while minor changes may be indicated with a footnote in the online version.

2. Retraction

Evaluation Process
Decisions regarding retraction, correction, or expression of concern are assessed in accordance with COPE’s Retraction Guidelines.

Retraction Procedures
• If the investigation leads to the need for retraction, a retraction notice is published in the relevant issue with the title: "Retraction Notice: (Article Title)."
• The retraction notice is made freely available to all readers, and the entity responsible for the retraction is clearly indicated, along with the objective and factual reasons for the retraction.
• An original version of the article (PDF) and any accompanying files (PDF) are retained, each marked with a watermark indicating it has been retracted.
• The metadata for the electronic version is updated to include the phrase "Retacted Article" before the full title, with a link leading to the retraction notice.
• The retraction notice is linked to the retracted article to facilitate cross-referencing.

In exceptional cases where the article's content must be removed from electronic publication due to legal obligations (such as defamation, privacy violations, or legal violations), the metadata remains available on the site, with a notice explaining the reason for the removal.
