Since 1958, rhetorical studies have witnessed significant development, particularly since the publication of "Manuel de Rhétorique et d'Argumentation" by Perelman and Tyteca. This work played a crucial role in liberating rhetoric from the confines of Aristotelian approaches, which had previously limited it to dialectical and logical frameworks. However, there have been other studies that have focused specifically on rhetoric, using Perelman and Tyteca's work as a starting point. Among these important works is "Les Usages de l'Argumentation" by Toulmin, which was translated into French as "Les Usages de l'Argumentation" by Barbantzar.
